What Dysport for frown lines treats

  • The vertical lines between the brows (the 11s)
  • A tired or cross look when your face is at rest

How Dysport for frown lines works

Frown lines are the vertical creases between the eyebrows. Two small muscles pull the brows together when you concentrate or squint, and over years the crease stays when you relax. Dysport relaxes those muscles so the skin is not folded as often.

How many units of Dysport for frown lines?

The FDA label dose is 50 units, given as five small injections. That full dose is included in the $150 price.

How the appointment goes

At your first visit we go through your medical history and look at your face at rest and while you move it. If you want treatment the same day, we clean the skin, offer ice, and place a few small injections. It takes minutes. You book a check at two weeks before you leave.

Risks, and who should not have it

Common: small bumps at the injection points for an hour, a mild headache, a small bruise.

Do not have Dysport if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are allergic to cow’s milk protein, have a neuromuscular condition such as myasthenia gravis or ALS, or have an infection where you would be treated.

To limit bruising, avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E and alcohol for 3 to 5 days before, unless a doctor has told you to take them.

Aftercare

After Dysport at SoulShine, stay upright and keep your hands off your face for 4 hours, skip exercise for 24 hours and strong heat for 72. The full result shows at about two weeks. Read the full aftercare instructions

Questions people ask

Is Dysport FDA-approved for frown lines?

Yes. Dysport has been FDA-approved for moderate to severe frown lines in adults since 2009.

Why one price per area instead of per unit?

So the price does not decide the dose. Your injector uses the dose the area needs, and the price for the area stays the same.
